Dark Carnival: Part 6: Broken Glass Love
"What am I mother fucking doing?" Gamzee muttered to himself.
He was distressed, more so then usual. Ever since Equius and Nepeta came back with Tavros he'd been feeling quit conflicted.
Should I just take this opportunity to make him mine or just leave him be?
Keep him here or let him go?
Questions like those have been eating away at him, it was driving all the sanity he had left out the window.
"Excuse me, highblood, may I come in?" Equius said as he knocked on the door.
Gamzee shuffled over to the door and opened it, trying to seem casual, well casual for him.
"Yes, mother fucker?" He mumbled.
"I just came to report that the operation was a success. However, due to the loss of blood, he won't be able to function correctly for a couple of days. I have asked Nepeta and Kanya to help me with his rehabilitation. All in all, he will be fine, and these legs will be a lot sturdier." Equius said.
"I see, good. Did Nepeta give him the mother fucking warning?" Gamzee asked as he started to tap his foot impatiently.
"Ah, yes highblood she did." Equius replied.
Gamzee nodded his head and the motioned for Equius to leave.
Closing the door behind him Gamzee decided it wouldn't hurt if he payed a visit to his sleeping unrequited matesprit, after all, he won't know.
Gamzee grabbed his jacket and swiftly ran out of his trailer.
All he could think about at that point was seeing Tavros, it's been so long since he has.
To see him, to touch him, to be near him, that's what was on Gamzee's mind at the moment.
He didn't care if this might be the last time he'd ever see Tavros, he just wanted to take this opportunity to see him.
As Gamzee started to get close to the workshop a sinking feeling hit him.
He started to become nervous.
It was a feeling he was unfamiliar with. It made him doubt himself and whether or not he could actually do this.
Gamzee tried to shake this feeling off as he put his hand on the workshop door.
Just as he was about to open it, the feeling came back ten times stronger.
Gamzee sunk to the ground.
He was so close, but these feelings kept putting an unreal distance between him and Tavros.
"Gog dammit! I'm so mother fucking pathetic." He cried as he propped himself against the door.
Tears ran down his face for the first time in a long time. The pain he was feeling was heart wrenching.
"I just want to mother fucking see him." He cried as he leaned his head against the door.

Tavros had been having a rough night, as soon as he went to sleep, he had a terrible nightmare.
It woke him up and kept him awake. He was so exhausted it pained him to stay awake, but he was too afraid of having another nightmare.
Tavros looked up and saw a window just above him.
He always wondered what the carnival looked like at night, when it wasn't being chaotic.
He sat up and leaned against the wall.
"It sure does look different." He sighed as he looked around.
It was so calm and peaceful. Trailers were lined up neatly in one area, like a little neighborhood.
All the beasts were in their cages sound asleep. It looked really peaceful.
But Tavros knew better, and in a few hours, the peaceful mask of night will come off and be replaced with a chaotic bloody face.
Tavros looked around some more at the quietness of it all, then suddenly noticed there was something at the door of the workshop.
He repositioned himself to get a better look at what it was.
His eyes widened as he saw that it was a someone, and that someone being Gamzee.
At first Tavros was going to slide back down and hide, but then he saw that Gamzee had pulled away.
Tavros became really confused and concerned at all this. He kept his eyes fixed on Gamzee as he sunk to the ground and began to cry.
This wasn't like him, Tavros thought as he was shocked to see Gamzee cry.
At that moment Tavros didn't care whether he could return Gamzee's flushed feelings or not, he just didn't want to see him cry anymore.
Tavros started beating on the window so he could get Gamzee's attention.
He kept pounding it, but it didn't work. Tavros was getting really frustrated. With the little strength he had left he yelled Gamzee's name and pounded his head against the window.
The Glass broke instantly as he pulled back.
Tavros had to immediately reposition himself or he'd fall out the window.
Gamzee looked up as he was shocked by the sound of breaking glass.
He saw glass shards and rust colored blood on the ground.
It made him hesitate, but only for a second, as he stood up to go see what happened.
Tavros wiped the blood off his forehead and moved himself a bit so he could look out the window.
He wasn't sure if Gamzee heard any of that or not, but this was probably the last chance he had before he ran out of strength to even move a finger.
He looked out the window and saw Gamzee looking right back at him.
Neither of them could say anything to the other, there was just dead silence.
Gamzee, feeling all the nerves melt away at the sight of Tavros began to walk slowly towards him.
His eyes fixated on his beloved's eyes.
Tavros began to feel anxious as Gamzee closed the distance between them.
His hands started to shake as Gamzee stopped right in front of him.
Gamzee reached out for Tavros, placing a gentle hand on his face.
Tears began to fall once more, this time from Tavros.
Gamzee took his hand away from him, and kissed him.
Tavros didn't pull back, he didn't even try.
Suddenly Gamzee moved away, leaving Tavros confused.
"I'm sorry." He said as he turned around to leave.
"Wait." Tavros muttered as he leaned out the window.
Gamzee looked back at him with a sort of sadness in his eyes.
"Please, stay."Tavros cried as he began to loose balance.
Gamzee ran over and caught Tavros just as he was about to fall.
"Please." He asked once more.
"Sure mother fucker." Gamzee whispered as he kissed him gently on the cheek.
Tavros sunk back to his bed as Gamzee hopped up and entered through the window.
He accidentally cut his hands on the broken glass.
"You could have just used the door." Tavros said as he saw the blood drip from Gamzee's hands.
"But that would have taken mother fucking longer." Gamzee muttered as he laid down next to Tavros.
"But doesn't it hurt?" Tavros asked with a concerned look.
"The only thing that mother fucking hurts, is not being with you." Gamzee said as he snuggled up to Tavros.
"Goodnight.."Tavros said as Gamzee pulled a blanket over them.
"Goodnight mother fucker."Gamzee whispered.
